Dear Families,

Welcome to Highland Park Elementary and the wonderful world of Kindergarten! We are so very excited to have you and we look forward to getting to know you and your family this upcoming year!

We know that the transition to Kindergarten is a very important step for both child and family and we would like to help make that transition as successful as possible. On this website, we have provided you with various resources to help make the transition smooth, ways to be prepared for the upcoming year and much more.

We invite you to take a look around on this site and utilize the resources provided. We will continue to find more resources to help make the transition easier and will add them to this site.

We are excited to meet you and your family and start this exciting journey together!

All incoming Kinder families, once you have completed the AISD registration (link above), please complete the form below and return to cc.luna@austinisd.org no later than May 15, 2024 (We recommend that you print and bring to Kinder Registration and Classroom Visit Day- April 2nd from 8:30- 9:30am if you are attending)

Mark your calendar for these upcoming 2025 dates: 

Tuesday, January 21- Kinder Info Session, 11:00 a.m. in the Library (Please bring I.D. and check in at the front office)

Tuesday, February 11 - Kinder Info Session, 11:00 a.m. in the Library (Please bring I.D. and check in at the front office)

Tuesday, March 25 - Story Time with Principal Peña, 11 a.m. in the Library (Please bring I.D. and check in at the front office)

Tuesday, April 1 - Classroom Visit Day, 8:30 a.m. in the Cafeteria 

Friday, May 2 - Story Time with Principal Peña, 11 a.m. in the Library (Please bring I.D. and check in at the front office)

June TBD  - Kinder Play Date at Perry Park

July TBD -  Kinder Play Date at Perry Park 

Monday, August 18th Rally Day and Meet the Teacher! Popsicles on the Playground to follow.

Tuesday, August 19th First day of classes
