New Student Information

Hello Caregivers!

Early Learning Day & Classroom Visits

April 1st from 8:30-9:30 AM is Early Learning & Classroom Visit Day at Highland Park Elementary. We invite all new incoming Fall 2026 students and their caregivers to attend this informational event.

During the 30 minute classroom visit, students will visit a Kindergarten and participate in learning activities while parents remain in the cafeteria and hear from Principal Peña and members of the HP Faculty, learn about programs sponsored by the PTA, receive enrollment help, and more.

Not a Kinder student? No problem! All new-to-Highland Park families are welcome. We will also have classroom visit opportunities for non-Kinder students.

Caregivers: Please bring ID and check in at the front office.

Registration & Enrollment

Austin ISD registration opens Feb 16th. Caregivers can complete the registration process on the Austin ISD Enroll Page . Copies of the following documents are required to complete enrollment (either download to the documents page while enrolling, or bring in-person):

Highland Park has a number of resources for incoming kinder families here to help prepare your student for the transition to Kindergarten. In addition to the documents above, please complete the New Student Info Sheet and return to the Registrar, CC Luna cc.luna@austinisd.org or bring it with you on Early Learning Day.
